Anyway, I'm getting reminded of those old times right now - just lost $1500, YTD profit now $15000 or so.

All right bison, here goes the cold turkey thing for a month. I'm not going to say I'll stop reading 2+2 though, just stop playing online.

I play chess too (USCF~2000), and always find my game is stronger after I've left it for a while. So here's hoping I manage to go cold turkey until July!

This will be the second time I've quit this week (did it yesterday), but I'll try to make more of an effort this time ... tbh I've only tried "quitting" semi-seriously in the past - that's what I was trying to imply with my tone.
