I would think they would be very wary of the new guy at the table and treat your show of strength as a show of strength.

Since BB led at the pot, and he's new to you, there's reason to believe he'll lead at the turn (unless there's another club). I smooth call this and bet/raise the turn.

This is the line I like the most here. Smoothcalling and then raising the turn will raise suspicion, at least at me and I would fold unless I had a strong hand... Personally, I never slowplay, I want to get as much in there as possible and if they fold, they probably wouln't call a turn raise either.

Too bad you didn't post the stakes.
