Default 2+2ers meeting?

I have noticed several regular posters on here that mention being in my area and playing at the only card room nearby.

I was just curious if there are ever 2+2 "meetups" organized on here? I think it would be fun to meet some of hte people on here, and for God's sake *not* play poker against you

A 2+2 meet without poker would be like paying for an expensive dinner and not eating. Just doesn't make any sense.

Bump for me.

I would love to join a 2+2 meeting depending on where the gathering would be.

A fun suggestion would be to play something other than Hold'em instead. Perhaps a wild shootout where we play some crazy variation of Hold'em.

I hear that Crazy Fox is the game of choice. Andy would have to describe; I can't find the rules when I did a search. I need the magic keyword, and I don't know what that is.

You get dealt four cards. After the flop, you discard one, after the turn, you discard another one. Like crazy pineapple, but with an extra card and an extra discard.

Hi Lawrence,

unfortunately we live in a city of tyrany, where the casinos would never spread a game unless there were 17 people on the list, 6 tables available, and 8 dealers ready to deal.

Even then, they'd just open one more 10-20 game.

p.s. This might change on Thursday. Do you see why?

If people want to get together, I would be up for it sometime. If there was an interest in a 2+2 homegame, I would even host it, I live a couple of miles from CP, so it might be centrally located for Canterbury players. And if we couldn't get the game to go, we could always run over there to play.
