Default (55) AK re-raised early, normally this is simple, but...

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t15 (10 handed)
MP1 (t1250)
MP2 (t1000)
MP3 (t775)
CO (t1000)
Button (t990)
SB (t985)
BB (t1000)
UTG (t1000)
Hero (t1000)
UTG+2 (t1000)

Preflop: Hero is UTG+1 with A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].
<font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to t45</font>, <font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, MP2 calls t45, <font color="#CC3333">MP3 raises to t250</font>, <font color="#666666">4 folds</font>, Hero ???

Here's why it's interesting. This is the second hand of this tournament. On the first hand, the Villain (now MP3) re-raised an EP raiser to t225 preflop and folded to a push on a 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] flop. I only saw the re-raise. My HUD says this player has 7 hands (that means one early bust), a VPIP of over 50% and a PFR over 40%.

All-in, but just to be safe, try to blow his cards off the table with the force of your verbal announcement.

Seriousy though, don't you want this guy all to yourself with your AK?

with thoses reads i think all in is the best play. you dont have postion so if u miss the flop your probally going to have to give the hand up, and the only hands you are really worried about is AA KK, probally doesnt have that so.............

i am new so dont quote me

I call in this spot, given your earlier read he will declare his ahnd on the flop by letting you bet him out or showing strength.

I suppose that could be funny to read or something... but not likely.

BTW, wrong forum, dude. This is supposed to be in OOT... only the villain is a hot chick, the re-raise is her asking to have sex with you, and your push is you saying "ok."

Well, she called me up with AQ wanting to get together. I was worried that I'd get too excited with my big kicker and get all-in too quickly, but she was so eager that wasn't a problem. And you how sometimes you try to go all-in, but only end up getting sucked out... anyway, this story has a happy ending, as my ace and king doubled up on her... and so on.

I would definitely call here in this situation. Why put your whole stack at risk with a drawing hand, even a very strong one? Your chance to make a nice score are very good here, so you want to see a flop. Post flop try a continuation bet of between 60-75% of the pot. You'll find out how the villain feels about his hand.
