Default Free cards ?

First, I want to say hi, this is my first post here.

I'm playing in a loose/passive game w/ two or three calling stations. I hold something like Q10o. There are no preflop raisers and the flop comes up 8 2 K. Everyone checks to me. What should I do? I can't really tell what sort of cards the people have because they will call with almost anything, only raise or fold with extreme hands. Eiher way I'm rather sure that I'll have about two callers going all the way to the river no matter what. Should I just check and give a free card, or would it be better to bet because there's a good chance I have the best hand?

Thanks for you help
Brendan

You have no pair, and no draw (other than a backdoor straight draw). While it's possible you started out with the best hand, it's highly likely you are behind right now. You probably need the free card more than most of your opponents do. Check.

If your oppenents are going to call you down with anything you must actually have a hand then when you bet. And in your situation you have a horrible hand, i would not bet for value here.

If your opponents will call down with anything... and you have nothing... then it sounds like you have a check.

Sorry I made a big mistake when I was asking my questions...
I meant I was holding KTo and the flop was Qxx

I take it the best play would still be to check because there is probably at least a small pair, right?

Even with the correction, remember the weak Ace. In low limits many players will play with Ax. You still could be behind at this point without anyone holding a pair.
Check.

You do not have the best hand. Take the free card and check.

You should really only bet if you can win the pot RIGHT NOW, and should compare the pot size/bet size with your chances of successfully bluffing.
