Default What is the catch to Eurobet\'s single-deck blackjack?

Is it rigged? Are you handicapped? How could someone who knows what they're doing NOT crush SD blackjack? You can keep track of the cards in notepad for christs sake.

I'm confused O_o

I believe if you play Intercasino's multiplayer blackjack deals 2 DECKS INTO AN 8-DECK SHOE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Also, I believe Boss casinos have a 0.1% edge on their single deck BJ games. In other words, stick with poker.

I don't know about any specific single deck game, but I can pretty much guarantee they either change the rules or they change the payouts.

If a blackjack only pays 6:5 instead of 3:2, your EV is less. If they don't let you double on a split, your EV is lower, etc. So, except in the rare case where the casino is being run by idiots, the expected value of a bet is always less than the bet regardless of the game. If you don't know EXACTLY why you have an edge, you probably don't have an edge.

the way you phrased this sentence, you presumably aren't aware at all how specific playing conditions (besides # of decks) affect the house edge.

the classic rules for the downtown vegas single deck game (which is fading away quickly) are dealer hits soft 17, double any two cards, NO double after split and NO late surrender. this yields a house advantage of about 0.18%. yet even though this setup was mathematically profitable, the presence and paranoia of red-chip counters proved too close for comfort and now pretty much all the casinos have switched to double deck except for the Western (who will kick you out for trying to bet more than $25).

the "best" single deck game in the US is probably at Barona Valley Ranch near San Diego. with double after split and late surrender, the house edge is whittled down to about 0.01-0.02%, but technically the casino STILL has the advantage in the long run. and with minimum bet $100 and maximum bet $3000, both basic strategy flat bettors and aggressive and heavily bankrolled spread counters would have a tough time beating this game significantly.

A SD BJ game with 0.02% HA and 30x spread can be beatan like a red headed stepchild. Assuming of course you don't get much heat.
