Re: AKs vs 3 flush board
some may call this weak/tight, but the flop call here is kinda questionable. At BEST, you're drawing to 4 outs, as you may already be drawing dead to a made flush/set, or one of your outs may be dirty.
As you played it though, raising the flop would be bad as all you would be doing is building the pot with ace high. if any of your opponents are drawing to the flush with a big [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], they're not going anywhere. I like the turn raise as long as you're willing to fold to a 3-bet. River is good. |

Re: AKs vs 3 flush board
By raising Turn I'm definitely betting the River and folding to a 3bet..The only chance of winning will be to scare them out and its a big pot. Based on your aggressiveness a baby one card flush might?? fold
The biggest concern about the raise turn is what do yo u do if its 3bet back to ya? Will you have the disipline to fold it. ****** My line would be call turn hoping to find some safety on the river. If checked to on River I'm checking - betting the river at this point is pointless because everyone is going to call due to pot size. I don't think the TPTK is strong enough to bet for value Pots big and thats a lot of clubs. I don't think SB has it (I'd guess high cards maybe a club). MP1 is the one to watch probably playing a baby flush and the pot size wont allow him to fold |

Re: AKs vs 3 flush board
I think SB leading out is a good sign that he doesn't have clubs.
If I had the flush I would check call the hero aggressor and then Check/raise hero aggressor on the turn when his AK hit a pair. With the big flush you don't really need to push the small edge early because its a monster. All that being said its hard to tell what the MP has...just calling looks like a club draw or made flush to me |

Turn Raise..Clarification
Just trying to clarify....
Seems like everyone is happy with the turn raise. That would mean its a value bet because from an odds perspective no one card club is folding. You would also have to assume that you aren't splitting this pot with another AK or are not already beat by AA or a flush. ************************* I'm not sure your TPTK has enough equity in taking down this pot to warrant the raise. Do you win this hand 33% of the time (1 raise to 2 more big bets) |
