It was hyped the last cpl days in the papers. Sounded like he was going to have a decent shot so I tuned into the half time show to watch. That's the most CFL I've seen in many years.
I was rooting for the guy. Great to see him make it even if he did get ripped off on the pay.

I'm retarded but is 50 yards in CFL equal to 50 yards in NFL?
Wind? Arena or Open field? Also, Must say that 50 yards in the NFL is longer than 50 since the goal post is at the end of the end zone (no clue how long the end zone is) Still, 50 yards is absurdly long without the added pressure of a million on the line.

[/ QUOTE ] In the CFL, the goal post is just beyond the goal line, just like the NFL had it back in the day. CFL end zones are 25 yards deep, which would've made it an even more impressive feat.

[/ QUOTE ] Why? They didn't say "he kicked it from the 50"; they said "he made a 50 yard FG". So even if the goalposts were at the back of the endzone, they would have adjusted the spot of the kick appropriately. PS The end zones are 20 yards, not 25.

This debate on where the goalposts are reminds me of a great one my stepmom came up with. Told about Michelle Wie's hitting 300 yard drives, she said "Yeah, but from the women's tees right?"
