Default Need Start-up Advice

Hello everyone -
I have been playing off and on online for a few years but have just decided to try and take it to the next level. I have scanned this forum and found some information about things which are all new to me - rakebacks, bonus whoring, building a bankroll etc. I'm having trouble putting it all together.
Here is my current situation: I have just over $100 in a Paradise account (My initial deposit of 3 years ago had dropped to $7 but I have built it back up in the past month). I have no Neteller or any other type of acount. I have read TOP and SSH. I have also read general post here about building a bankroll in the micro's but wonder if all the info in them still applies. So tell me . . .
Where do I go from here?

Have worked my way up this month from 0.5-0.10 to .25-.50 over the past month. I'm playing two tables keeping BR at about 200 BB and then moving up when I get there. Long term I'd like to build a BR to play at high limits online with occasional trips to B&M's for live play. Don't plan to quit my dayjob (I'm a doc and went to school to long to give it up ) but I wouldn't mind some extra income ...

I would start by re-reading the SSH book and sharpen your skills at maybe the .15/.30 level as you have the bankroll at that level (300BB). I am not familar with Paridise poker with there tables but I know that party poker has .15/.30 table. I would also start up the neteller account so that you can transfer money from site to site so that you get the bonuses.

Hopefully this will help!

Thanks!
Paradise skips from .10-.20 to .25-.50 so that's where I am until I get a larger BR. Is it worth switching to Party for different limits / more play?

Do you own any books?

First things first.

READ
Small Stakes Hold'em can be your first book. IT DOES NOT TEACH THE VERY BASICS OF HOLD'EM.

To learn these i advise you use google, i'd not personally not bother buying a book for this purpose... The cost and the information gained is not worth it IMO. Personally i brought ITH but i could have learnt fair bit from GOOGLE.com and this forum.

This book(Small stake sholdem however covers intermediate concepts) and other things you can apply to your game.

Bonuses
If you have over $40, Take it to SPORTINGBET.COM they offer $100 bonus which you can clear at .10/.20. Play your normal game if your not in a rush, i personally cleared it by playing EVERYONE HAND PREFLOP and then played my "post flop game" as i would(Meaning i usually folded after seeing the flop due to holding junk).

Its CONTRIBUTED RAKE so if you play most hands they will count towards clearing it and soon as you reach 500 you get the $100.(Well $30 after 100 hands, then the $70 after 400 more).

once you've cleared this you will have $140minimum(assuming you break even and deposited $40 originally).

Now go to Casino.net - Same bonus, yep you guessed it.
$100 for 500 hands, CONTRIBUTED RAKE. Clear this.

Now you have atleast $240... Congratulations.

You've been to paradise so you cant do the 50% $100 bonus.

Anyhow now you have $240, Go to POKERSTARS.COM.

You will get a deposit bonus and be able to play any games, maybe .25/.50 if you've read/understood/Re-read SMALL STAKES HOLD'EM.

Now go and buy http://www.pokertracker.com/ - You can send $55 to the maker through POKERSTARS but contact him via the website.

Once you have purchased this you need to configure it(Read help files) so you get all your hands you play at pokerstars processed. POKERSTARS SAVE HAND HISTORYS TO YOUR HARDDRIVE, PokerTracker uses these to provide statistical info on you AND YOUR OPPONENTS.

Now you will download POKERACE at http://pokeracesoftware.com/

This will displays stats of you opponents that you'll need to lean to interpret for it to be any help.

Anyhow so you got to $240 from the $40 at sportingbet + $100 bonus, Then $100 casino.net, Then you spent $55 on pokertracker. So you now have about $185.

This is enough to play .25/.50 games. Play these untill you have $300.

Now go to bonuswhores.com and ask around to whore some sites to get more of a bankroll(from bonuses). Be carefull and ensure they dont offer RAKEBACKS as you will want a rakeback in the future.

Your next step will be taking $500 to PARTYPOKER.COM.

Welcome to the forum, post all hands in microforum your unsure of (NO BAD BEATS PLEASE, Just interesting hands you need help with). use the converter found here.... COnverter

Ohh sorry left that bit out.

www.neteller.com - If you cashed into paradise with credit card, you might aswell cash back out with it.

Then cash into neteller, then let neteller handle all your transactions.

Good luck - Pm me if you need any help/querys. I have the time.

p.s. i had two warts on my fingers, does the doctor cut them off?

You can cashout into Neteller as well. That will be a good way to get an initial amount of money in there, as opposed to the more roundabout way.

OP will have to call Neteller -- this is a security measure and everyone has to do it (just so he doesn't panic).
