Default What would it take for you to kill someone?

I was having a conversation with my girlfriend the other day and she was telling me that she learned in her criminology class that she, as a white female between the ages of 16 and 25 (or something like that) was more likely to be raped than anyone else. At that point, I told her that if anyone ever raped her, and the police got to him first, I would be the first person lined up to bail him out of jail, just so that I could be sure he spent the last moments of his miserable life begging for death.

That said, I think that that's the kind of thing it would take for me to kill someone. My question is, what would it take you?

$5,000? That doesn't seem like much. I think that I would have trouble killing someone for any amount of money, unless it was enough that I could be sure my entire family would be financially secure for the rest of their lives.

Also, what would it take if you knew for a fact that afterwards, you would definitely spend the rest of your life in jail?

FWIW, that's OZ-style, not jailhouse rock.

I'm pretty positive I could kill a complete stranger and get away with it. But I could be way wrong. I'm 99% sure i'll never find out.

it does seem like it would be super easy to kill a stranger...

kill em, bury the body somewhere. with absolutely no motive it seems like it would be very hard for them to tie it back to you if they ever did find the body.
