In honor of the recent forays into literary territory....

Has anyone here read "The Human Stain" by Roth? What did you think of it?

Haven't read the book but I did see the movie and it was pitiful imo. Don't know if that was Roth's fault or the movie's fault. I was surprised by how bad it seemed to me since I am usually a Roth fan.

Yeah, for such a stellar cast the movie was kinda dissapointing, but I think that's the directors/movie executive's fault.
The book is phenomenal. I read it sort of by accident. I was looking for a book to read before bed and I picked up The Human Stain. Five hours later I had to force myself to put it down.
