Reads really help here when you're HU against an open-raiser from MP3 -- what will he open raise with and how is his HU play?

It's a good fold unless you think Villain could play hands like [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img][img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] or AJ, A9 etc. this way HU. I think you'd need a pretty good read to see the river here.

break even call on the turn...
I'd call it and try a check raise on a third diamond if you are feeling frisky...
Villain could be holding 99-JJ, if he really is TAG, I see him capping preflop with QQ-AA and AKs. Of course you are done for if hes holding TT.

Hero has position and won't have an opportunity to C/R a river [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

I think Villain could be holding a much wider range of hands here -- it was folded to him in MP3. And a solid TAG might call the flop 3-bet (not cap) with AA / KK / QQ / AKs when it is HU back to him.

Not really, considering AT, QTs, QQ-AA all have hero drawing to less than six outs.

It's a good fold.
