Hi paperboy,

No, I don't cap the river. BB is going to have a flush here a lot. He may even have K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

If BB is crazy enough to have a flush here, isn't he crazy enough to have many other various holdings as well?

Happy holidays,

I think Einbert and I sort of agree on this: either our villain is crazy enough to have a wide range of hands here, in which case the river doesn't really change all that much (it isn't a great card, but we're still far enough ahead of a "crazy" range to cap), or he would only get so aggressive with exactly A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].

I'm capping at any hints of craziness.

A lot of players think flush draws are "extremely powerful" hands. Given the river action, I think BB most likely has the heart flush, likely with the A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. I am always hesistant to label players crazy or maniacs. The hero described BB as calling down a lot too.

Given the flop and turn action, what do you put BB on before the river card?

Because it is a cap bet - it's a coin flip on a set amount. In my live game, HU, with NO cap, I would just call. That AK hearts rings true to me. Just because someone calls down a lot down not equate to someone who is 3 betting 2X in a hand. How often has he done that w/ weak cards?

I'm pretty sure that if the betting were not capped at 4 bets on this river capping would probably be a mistake without a unique read, because now we need to be ahead 2/3 of the time instead of 1/2 the time to make the bet break even (we're always getting 5 bet by the possible nut flush).
