Was I weak tight or right on this river raise?
Live 2/4 at Commerce - I am in the SB w/ A3 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Villian is UTG and LAG + a fair amount of booze. He is talking a mile a minute and loves everyone. Rest of the table is more LAP.
Pre-flop: UTG bets, 4 other callers, I complete and BB checks. (6 players 4.75 sb) Flop is 553, suits unimportant. I bet, BB folds, UTG calls, 1 other call, the rest fold (3 players 7.75 sb) Turn: 5 I bet, UTG calls, other player folds. (2 players 6 bb) River: A I bet, UTG raises. I'm thinking chop/chop or slowplayed 5. I see no percentage in a re-raise, yet I am often weak-tight in this kind of spot. I get worried that 4 will cost me 8 when I am re-raised and feel forced to call. I'd like to get better at this last river bet and deciding when the extra bet makes sense. Please share how you analyze this kind of last bet HU on the river. Thanks. |
