Re: I got it right, but my math might have been wrong

[ QUOTE ] I raise or fold preflop. [/ QUOTE ] I think of the three choices, those are the two that are the worst. [/ QUOTE ] Raising is pretty ridiculous. I'd lean toward folding, with calling being a close second. |

Re: I got it right, but my math might have been wrong
Centja,
We are assuming different things. You are looking at the pure probability a suited A or K was dealt given what we know. I was calculating the odds that, given that the two villains have flushes, one of them has an A or K high flush. So we are coming up with different numbers. Yours is a very good one to know and I'd have to check your numbers better to figure if it's right. Mine is the one I think the OP asked for and is a little more relevant here. |

IMO Deranged wins...
For the best answer of the questions I asked. My math was questionable, but my "reads" worked (this time). I am glad that in the heat of battle, I didn't think about the A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] betting out on the turn. If I had ruled that out as card out against me, I would have called down and be $12 poorer. But the point of this whole process is to get me to think about things that I missed and I missed that line of thinking about the A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] that I can hopefully add to my mindset for the next time.
