I've cleared over $1000 and made more than that with the VFP deal - although I have stopped playing due to the cut-back to just half of what the VFP deal was originally paying. Games are tough, but you can make some money there.

You must be a shill or employee of GG, given this statement.

JJDylan is a regular poster over at [edit: he can add this info if he wants] and isn't an employee of GamesGrid. FWIW.

The bonus clears based on Frequent Player Points-- (c&p from GG's faq):

rake points earned
$0.00 - $0.49 0.00
$0.50 - $0.99 0.25
$1.00 - $1.99 0.50
$2.00 - $2.99 0.75
$3.00 - 1.00

If you are dealt cards in a hand and the hand is raked, you receive FPPs. You do not have to put money in the pot yourself.[/end cut & paste]

5 FPPs = $1 bonus cleared. The bonus is released in $5 increments, so you don't have to wait to clear a certain $ figure before seeing the bonus credited to your real money account.

Feel free to PM or email me if you have any questions

No, its just common logic...they're a new site offering a huge bonus thats not so fast to clear. Why? to draw people to the site and keep them playing there long enough to like it and stay.

Common logic? I'm not trying to give you a hard time personally, but I think the logic is flawed.

The $5K bonus, itself, clears way too slowly. Especially at limits less than 3/6. That does not help retain players. If a player stays at the site with a slow clearing bonus, it's because he/she likes the software (e.g., Stars), customer support (e.g., Stars) and probably most importantly, juicy games against poor competition (e.g., Party & Skins), etc. The slow clearing bonus by itself does not induce any of these reasons for them to stay.

The "big" bonus will get some players there initially, but it's not the reason they stay. It's the reasons above. And after a while, many players will leave the slow clearing bonus for greener pastures elsewhere. A slow clearing bonus and very tight games don't appeal to many people.

Also, don't discount the "word on the street" factor. When people hear that the bonus is very slow to clear, that also keeps people from signing up.

There are a ton of players here on 2+2. Very few play at GG. Why is that? Because of all the reasons above. And because of these reasons, there is little growth at GG, so you have the same 30 or so players that are the only ones playing there. And when these players do clear the $5K bonus, how many do you think will stay when there is no bonus left to clear and all that is left is tight games?

If GG increased the clearing rate on the bonus, that would give them a much better chance of the traffic increasing. There are a ton of micro limits ($1/$2 and lower) players out there that GG is missing out on because of the very slow clearing bonus.

I just think they are missing the boat here.
