Default From Full Ring to 6max

I generally prefer full ring, I can play tighter, therefore not have to think as much as it hurts my brain and have adapted very well and am pretty successful at it. Yet, I have been told many times and heard from friends that there is so much more $ in 6max gamess(I notice the much higher average pots as well). I was wondering how much more profitable is 6max and how much looser would I have to play(I currently use the 25% rule for flops seen as a marker for how many I should see-includes being a blind. That being said how high should my flops seen % be if I were to move to 6max, since I'm being a blind much more as well as playing more hands.
Also to get used to it, should I drop a couple of levels at first and would I be able to get by at 400NL 6max by playing almost as tightly as I do at full ring, if I am a successful 400NL player at full ring.

table dependent: if the table/player is tight.. play loose and vice versa.

this is obvious, but it applies more to 6max than full table
