The essay doesn't need any specific format, just post it here.

Your essay can also describe your opinion of the Cunsumption Tax.

Thank You,
Eric

i agree that there is no evidence and i believe that my first time in party had in fact everything to do with coincidence, but still im afraid of playing there anymore.. when you have the best hand and get rivered several times, you just start to fear too much

I believe Ulysses, aka El Diablo, has a log8 pattern map for sale. PM him for details.

I like the argument that it is so profitable having a legit online poker room that business owners would never dare of trying to cheat the players. This makes a lot of sense to me.

However, I do see some weight to the argument "if you could rig the RNG to keep players playing longer, and no one would notice, why wouldn't you?" acompanied with "casinos have cheated before."
I have another argument against the idea that online poker rooms cheat:

Besides thinking that online card room owners wouldn't want to ruin such a sweet deal, as a person with a degree in Computer Science I think it would be a dificult engineering problem to rig a RNG in the ways that are suggested. There are numerous problems that would have to be solved. How do you handle a table with 10 new players? How do you handle a table with 10 old players? How do you keep the non-random RNG from appearing non-random (and I mean how do you hide the non-randomness from "clown-scientists" doing real studies on the statistics or serious players with 100k+ hands in Poker Tracker...not the people who are usually "whining" on message boards)?

My initial thought (not backed up by any research or testing) is that it would take a lot of computational and human effort to create a good rigged RNG for online poker. Maybe it isn't though. If I get some free time, I might think about this some more. Maybe I'll try to simulate some rigging of RNG. Maybe I can come up with a good algorithm that I might be able to sell to some of the shadier online card rooms.

FYI, I'm only half-kidding about this...

I'll let y'all know how things come along with this research.

A large part of poker is psychological. If you don't feel right about playing somewhere, honor that, because it will help you play better. Go play instead somewhere where you can play without doubting and second-guessing things. Or take a nice long break until the anxiety drops down. It's a free country. Play how it makes you happy to play. Maybe one day you'll change your mind about a site being somehow scary, but there's no reason to force yourself to play anytime or anywhere you don't feel psychologically strong and in control.

Happened to me. I won like $900 usd on a $100 deposit in a cpl of ours. Cashed out at 300something. I dumped party poker, and now read books and play with my head. (not LIKE THAT, i mean thinking) I'm not a party fan - its like toys R us looking. And the chasers are hard to avoid at low lmts. The random Generators are inspected by 3rd parties too. so not sure if they can get away with it.

I am convinced that this software is somewhat questionable. When I first open my account, I won like crazy. For example I would be dealt JT and have the flop come back AKQ. Lots of great starting hands that would connect on the flop. Then after I had tripled my intial deposit things went to [censored]. Playing 60 straight hands without seeing a face card. When having TPTK getting beat by a set, ect. I cashed out and waited a week and opened a new account.

They knew about my old account even though I had used a slightly different name and completely different address. Do they track by IP address???? They allowed me to close my first account and start playing with my new account.

The first 350 hands I played I won like crazy AGAIN!!! Same dam thing flopping boats, sets, ect. Tripling my deposit. However the next 350 hands went to [censored] again, always getting beat by bigger hands and having crapping starting hands.

Anyone else notice this or am I crazy?

I'm probably going to get chewed up for this, but I went on the same rush of cards when I opened up my account on Party and Empire.

When I started at Party I was a noob (VP$IP around 65%) at the time but manage to triple up my stack within an hour on .5/1.

However on Empire, within my first 100 hands I had AA or KK approximately 15 times and they held up for avg 11BB avg/hand.

Only difference is even after the initial rush I'm still a winning player, so those initial rushes may just be coincidences. However, I haven't run into the "cashout curse" yet and I zero out my accounts aplenty.
