Default Empires\' email response!

Dear Ex-Empire Player,

Thank You for playing at EmpirePoker.com.

Due to a system error, an erroneous bonus transaction was credited to your account. This bonus transaction has been reversed as of now.

We apologize for the error and would like to assure you that corrective actions have been taken for the error not to repeat.

To make up for this, we are pleased to award you with ‘HOTSEP’, a 10% up to $100 bonus. This bonus will be directly released into your account in the next 3 hours and its value will depend on your last deposit amount. You don't need to play raked hands or deposit again for the bonus to be released into your account.

For more information on endless, non-stop events and promotions taking place on Empire Poker, check the News & Events section of our website.

See you at the tables,

They won't be "seeing me at the tables". Is this really the best they can do? What a f'ing joke.

This is even worse than nothing. If they give you less than $100 they won't let you make the $1000 HOTSEP deposit for a $100 bonus. So you get even less money this way.

It looks like they are giving you $100 that you don't have to clear.

This is not a great solution considering that we were all counting on playing 3k hands and getting $600 in bonus.

But it is better than making you deposit again to get it....or making you play through the raked-hands to get it.
Mind you, it's not much better than this....but it is marginally better.

It is also an acknowledgement and professional apology that they messed up.

I'm not exactly blown away by their response. And it really isn't much better than just doing nothing.
But it is an admission of their error which is a half-step in the right direction.

I don't think you understand Bob.

If you depostied $500 for the match bonus, they are only going to give you $50 (10%), less than you would get if you made the $1000 HOTSEP deposit.

Played hands is not important if you were going to play anyway.

Net loss: $550 - it just got worse!

Well I am glad to have FINALLY received an email regarding the fiasco.

I guess this is closure.

I for one won't be depositing money in Empire in this lifetime. Back to the Party!

Yes. I forgot that I only deposited $500 for the $500.

You are correct.
This is some of the same fuzzy-math that brought you the square-root VIP formula.

I'm trying to give them every opportunity to apologize for this situation and try to make-good in some way. But I suspect they fall way short.

Since they already credited the $50 into my account, 10% of my $500 deposit, I see no reason to keep any money in Empire.

I wonder how they are going to react to all the cashouts today? Probably almost as upset as everyone who got that email.

This has to be the clumsiest thing they could have done. I wouldn't have been too upset if they just apologized for letting a private bonus spread so fast unchecked, but they took away 50% of their concilliatory bonus.

Yep, no doubt about it. They are probably pissing their pants right now by the prospect of all the bonus whores leaving the site.

Many of us bonuswhores are their best customers. Many bonuswhores play 10,000 plus hands per week. They WILL miss the rake from the hundreds of thousands of hands this fiasco will cost them.

I withdrew my money and may not go back. I used to play alot of the multi's there but quit as they take so long with table for table play starting so early.

Thank you,

Jim Kuhn
