That was a really bad turn card! While I don't feel like I am qualified to give advice yet in my poker career, I'll say what I would have done. Not sure if its right or wrong. I'd say there is a good chance the 7 helped the villain based on the way he played it. So I'd say there was a pretty good chance he had trips. I wouldn't automatically assume he had the full house. If the pot were a little bigger I'd say call him down, but I'm thinking that maybe a fold is best here.

It seems like every time my top/bottom 2 pair gets conterfitted and I meet resistance I get F'd if I call down. I probably fold this small pot and move on.

Fold, your effective odds are quite bad here.

AK-A7 beats you, any 7 holding is way ahead of you and the only 2 cards which seem to improve your hand are the 3's. The turn check raise, even without reads, usually represents at least 2 pair. The only 2 pair ranking lower than your 2-pair is a 3x holding which your vil is most likely not betting on with a paired board and an A (any A holding beats his bottom 2 pair). It is safe to assume you are waaaaaay behind here. The pot is very small. Fold.

Obviously you can't put your opponent on that ridiculous hand and I was thinking that you'd have 4 outs for implied odds. But even though I tried, I couldn't make it work even then. As other posters pointed out the pot is still too small.

Fold is the correct option but I'm tempted to call in this situation so that's gotta be fixed.

Just curious, why would you call this down?

Because apparently we have no read on the villain, and tons of bad players love to raise whenever the board pairs, even if they have garbage. He could have picked up a flush draw, or he sees that his K3o is now two pair, and two pair is a good hand. Or maybe he just realizes that a paired board is scary and likes to bluff it. Villain did not check/raise, he just raised the bet.

This is a highly read-dependent situation in my mind.
