Poker on television through 8/27/05
Since my ability to carve out time to do these weekly summaries is questionable through the end of summer period (and then the 3+1 Challenge starts up)... I'm giving the sources you can use yourself (if you didn't know them already) TV Guide- http://www.tvguide.com/ and Yahoo TV- http://tv.yahoo.com/
Sign in with both, it will give you listings for your own area/cable company USA television schedule results below are based on Eastern Daily Savings Time (EDT)- filtered from the TV Guide listings. Check your local provider to make sure you will actually get these at the times listed. Shows may be followed by their Comcast channel (East Coast) and then the station letters. "PDT??" means Yahoo listed this time as Pacific Daylight Savings time, but it's not always accurate. Just ??? means I adjusted from the PDT time. I am marking the "new" poker shows with "NPS" in front, to make it a little easier to sort out things. WEEK'S HIGHLIGHTS- The WSOP on ESPN starts showing the actual WSOP events on Tuesday nights. Celebrity Poker started their new "season" last week. Check your listings for PS Invitations II, Poker Million '05 and others- I only listed the first few from Yahoo TV online. One word about the 2005 WSOP airings This may change again, as the original times already have. There also seems to be a difference between ESPN listings for the planned WSOP broadcasts here ESPN WSOP schedule as of 8/21/05 and the listings that TV Guide has for Tuesday, 8/23/05 (Yahoo TV matches ESPN's current schedule). ESPN has changed the schedule from that which I posted earlier this summer. The second show on Tuesday is Event #4...the $1500 Limit event.
While this one wasn't supposed to be televised, the schedules got rearranged, and this one made it. -Aces
