Default Is this asking for trouble?

2/4 6max game. The player in the CO has been stealing a lot, and I haven't had the cards to stop him. Once again he opens for a raise, the button folds and I 3-bet in the SB with 44. The BB folds, stealer calls.

Flop 6 6 Q rainbow. Bet, call.
Turn 9. Bet, call.
River J. Bet, call.

Final pot 8.5BB.

Is this unwise?

what part. i think it's fine, good chance he's calling down Ace high. You could check/fold the river if you think he wouldn't value bet the river w/ ace high.
