i like the play ok, only because MP is really really likely to have no club.

[/ QUOTE ]

I think a lone club is pretty unlikely because he usually bets the flop but the flopped nut flush doesn't seem too implausible to me if he is kind of donkish. I see many more far fetched slowplays many times per session even from seemingly reasonable players, at least at 20/40. Plus like I said in earlier reply if he's aggro enough to make this move with air wouldn't he have just bet the turn? No one seems interested in this pot thus far.

[ QUOTE ]
normal ppl dont often go off for 4BB+ on a pure bluff.

[/ QUOTE ]

I think if he's bluffing in this spot he's already well outside the bounds of "normal" so we have to grant that if he reads hero as FOS further bluffing even if it's tilt induced is a definite possibility. What if he caps the turn? Are we supposed to call and raise the river?

Both hero and villains play looks pretty fishy here. There's no way you ever check the Ac/Qc on the button with that flop, which is the hand you are now representing. In fact, MP3's play is less suspicous than yours, he could well have just missed the flop check-raise.

I think it's far easier and cheaper to win this pot by just betting the flop and going from there.

But now you have got yourself in this situation, the pot is really quite big. You only need to fold villain around 1/5 to break even. I think it was a profitable play, although a smarter/ballsier player may well have spotted what you were up to.

I think you need a big pair of balls to put more money in the pot without atleast a low club or set. FWIW I have never seen so big balls.

I agree..... it's probably only a theoritical player who could have made this move, but even so, I think it's a fair point given the inconsistoncies of BZ's flop/turn play:

FLOP: "Oh no, I don't have a pair or a decent club"
TURN: "Yes, I have the nut flush!"

stupid pokerhand converter is being retarded.

it just seemed like a good spot. no way he c/r the nut flush on that turn.

anyways im just figuring out better spots for bluffing etc...whenever i think there's no way they play the hand they're representing the way they did, i try to call them out on it.

[/ QUOTE ]

You have to be careful of the opposite, you didnt exactly play your hand like you have a club.
