On my second maybe third orbit, villian is UTG has been HU between me and him twice, has tried to show his dominance over me.

UTG calls, hero raises, 1 fold, 2 calls, UTG calls

flop: 8 SB
2 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]2 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]6 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
UTG bets, hero raises, 3 folds, UTG 3bets, hero calls

Turn: 7 BB

I fold when yet another brick falls on the turn, let villain think I'm weak, and nail him real good later.

If you're insisting on catching a chronic bluffer, then this is the way to play this hand. Don't raise the turn.

But I usually like to have more of a read than what you have (3 orbits and twice HU against you) before I start thinking they're bluffmeisters. Did you see him getting frisky with any of the other players? Without that read I'd probably fold the turn here.

everyone is willing to give this "manic" the credit for a six, or something better than me? I don't know, he could easily be betting a flush draw or complete garbage and I should make him pay on the turn

What do people think my pot equity is after the flop?

When did he become a maniac? I fold the turn.

As an aside, which small town in MN are you from? I grew up in a really small town in the south called Elba. We had 212 people and 3 bars.

So you're positive he has a flush draw then?

I thought you were pegging him as a maniac and trying to catch him bluffing. Now you're implying that he's somewhat reasonable but just overplaying a draw. But isn't that why you raised the flop? When he 3-bets you I think it's far more likely that you're against a pocket pair, 2 or 6. And you could even be drawing against the draw (if it has an A).
