Default Topic in a writing contest

I'm signed up in a creative writing contest due to a bout of temporary insanity. I'm a 'mildly intelligent monkey who majored in business' and I'm up against a pack of English major liberal arts types.

Week One: write a Star Wars -esque opening crawl for an existing movie that doesn't have one. Said movie can't be sf.

I'm thinking 'Clerks', but if anybody has a suggestion I'm all ears.

Oh yeah. There is no prize. It's just for fun and bragging rights. Maybe I had a bout of stupidity. Not temporary.

I love it how a contestant from a creative writing contest is asking for suggestions on the Internet.

Sorry to give you grief. Clerks is not a bad idea. What about an even goofier comedy like Dumb and Dumber?

Write about what you know.
Unfold a business scenario in the very distant future.

Swingers. Actually that probably isn't a great choice, but something where you can talk about the "bigger picture" and then focus in on the first scene. In Swingers obviously you would talk about the move/breakup and move on to having coffee after a tough day or whatever they are doing in that first scene.

This is an okay idea. This contest is obviously geared towards a comedic slant, so think of the stupidest, most inappropriate movie you can. I think I could write a pretty good one for Schindler's List.

Episode 26: Matthew

THE PASSON OF THE CHRIST

It is a dark time for Jesus of Nazareth. Although he has been promised eternal life as the Son of God, Roman troops have driven his congregation from their hidden Supper and pursued them across the city of Jerusalem.

Evading the dreaded Jewish scholars, a group of radical farmers led by Peter has tracked Jesus' movements to a garden in the remote area of Gethsemane.

The evil traitor Judas, obsessed with finding young Jesus in exchange for 30 pieces of gold, has dispatched dozens of Roman troops into the Garden as well...
