Paulson Chip Maintenance

So I ordered up some of the new Paulsons from Apache and after having the samples for a couple days I noticed the white and orange get dirty really quick. Is there a way to clean them? A friend of mine told me not to clean them because it adds character to them but I think they look much better clean.

Also I thought I read somewhere about applying 3 in 1 oil to them when they are new, whats the deal with that?
