Question for those that live in Philly and follow the Eagles
What is the local word on whether Owens will play in the Super Bowl? Honesty please, no homer answers.
I am trying to figure out to what extent the Owens factor is already priced into the line. |

Re: Question for those that live in Philly and follow the Eagles
Not from Philly but i would really doubt T.O. is gonna be a factor he might add some boost from him being in a couple plays but that injury was to bad for him to much better then 75% after about 49 days. I think he will be a decoy and will not affect the game on the field as much he will effect as being a leader. If the pats could shut down a healthy marvin harrison i think they can handle a banged up T.O.

Owens at 75% is still better than any other receiver Philly has.

This is not a homer answer. I repeat, this is NOT a homer answer. Terrell Owens will be playing the Super Bowl. To what extent is currently unknown. Owens was catching passes and running on the sideline with the Eagles trainer as of practice on Friday morning. I can keep you updated as things break here, but the word has already been since last week that Owens will absolutely be playing in the Super Bowl. |

T.O. says he's playing and I wouldn't doubt he will. I would expect goaline plays. Andy Reid has a very interesting combination of goaline plays to get the ball to T.O. and they would still be very effective even with a 75% Owens.
Chris Mortenson did report after the game that the doctors don't want Owens to play. So that could be figured into the line. |

Right now they're saying he would fill the role of the third receiver if he were to play.

From the area as well - they definitely confirmed yesterday after the game that he would play in some capacity. Seeing him jumping around on the sidelines the whole game was a good sign. As posted earlier - he's ran short and medium routes. I'm sure he'll get in a certain number of plays. Some TO is better then none.
