Default NJ Gambling Law

Hi guys,

This is a plea to all lawyers out there who have a few spare minutes. I have a question about the legality of holding home games and playing internet poker in New Jersey. (I am a college student and the administration is making some ridiculous claims about state law.)

Two main questions:

Is it legal to hold a home game as long as there is no rake?

Is it legal to play on line (e.g. UB, Party, etc)?

I'd appreciate any help. I have gone through the NJ Constitution and it appears that "social" gambling is not outlawed, however, i am having trouble locating exact articles.

Thanks,

- Flushed
