30 processes is very normal. And those four you mention are also normal. My best advice to you is to search for the complete process name on google and then clicking the I'm feeling lucky button.

For instance, a search on "csrss.exe" gives:
This is the user-mode portion of the Win32 subsystem (with Win32.sys being the kernel-mode portion). Csrss stands for client/server run-time subsystem and is an essential subsystem that must be running at all times. Csrss is responsible for console windows, creating and/or deleting threads, and some parts of the 16-bit virtual MS-DOS environment.

PS. Unfortunately the best site (liutilities) seems to be down at the moment, i hope it goes up again.

Shut down all unknown processes not being used by LOCAL SERVICE, SYSTEM, or NETWORK SERVICE. That is to say if something is being run by your own account that you didn't initiate nor know what it is, you can pretty safely close it.

Additionally, you could go into task manager, right click, and set the partypoker.exe value to something higher than normal.

First one that comes to mind:

FFR

FDISK, format, reinstall. It'll run like grease through a cat.

edit: this assumes that it once ran correctly.

I was just talking to a friend about fdisk. Since technology has moved so fast and so few people have a good understanding of computer mechanics at the command prompt level, I highly doubt 95-99% of users could configure fdisk or disk druid since they are so used to bootable CD-ROMs and other whiz-bang inventions of this century!
