Final Table...what\'s your move?
The following hand came up at the final table of a $10 + $1 NL tourney on Party. 10th place gets a $213 profit, 9th gets around $320 and so on. 1st is a huge $4,700 while 4th is around $1,200. I'm posting the pay outs because I want to see how much you factor them in to the decison you have to make on the below hand when you look at the other chips stacks. After I get some replys I will tell you what I did and the results of the hand.
Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t20000 (10 handed) MP3 (t71248) CO (t573018) Button (t176516) SB (t48140) Hero (t208854) UTG (t46804) UTG+1 (t353630) UTG+2 (t301159) MP1 (t176268) MP2 (t291363) Preflop: Hero is BB with 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. 6 folds, CO calls t20000, Button calls t20000, 1 fold, Hero checks. Flop: (t70000) 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (3 players) Hero checks, CO bets t20000, Button folds... What's your move and why? |

Re: Final Table...what\'s your move?
call ... don't think pushing is the correct move ... folding would be the worst.

Re: Final Table...what\'s your move?
Call me weak-tight but this is a "call" for me. See what the turn brings, if you hit the flush or 6 I'd shove.

Re: Final Table...what\'s your move?
whats the pot size here? is your opponent capable of a continuation bet with a king high or something? you have way too many outs to fold, but Im not sure if a raise or call is better here. Im thinking that a raise would be better, to try and define if they have a made hand or are drawing, since obviously you want them to have a pair.

Push on the semibluff. You are slightly ahead of top pair.

I would absolutely push here. You have FE, and you have outs galore.

Re: Final Table...what\'s your move?
I would re-raise 40,000. It is the best move for 4 reasons.
1) If the raiser has a strong hand he will reraise and you will fold saving you further money on a draw you probably won't catch. 2) You may slow him down giving you a free card on the turn. 3) If you hit your flush your hand will be more disquised giving you a better chance of breaking your opponent. 4) He may fold if on a complete bluff. The only argument for calling is it is cheaper to try and hit your flush draw but that is offset by the fact that you are less likely to get paid off if you do. |

Re: Final Table...what\'s your move?
Hero Pushes.
Hero is probably ahead in the hand. Villain will probably fold out middle pairs and maybe some weak aces. All the money is at the top so chips won are worth more than chips lost. |

[/ QUOTE ] I actually really don't like this play. Miniraise? He of course isn't going to fold, and he might even have Top pair mid kicker, but if he hits two pair or some other mirale card ur not looking so hot. Push and try to push him off any hand he might have. |
