Default Carrying around money

I qualified for the PCA event last night and I was wondering how people carry around money to play the side games. I have not traveled much but I hear that if you carry around a lot of cash you might get into trouble. I usually carry around Commerce or Bicycle chips when I go play. Any advice?

wow, what a bunch of horrible responses.

i dunno if this actually works, but one piece of advice i've heard is to have a decoy wallet with ~$100 in it and then the rest stashed somewhere.

If it's significant cash (say 5 figures) or you're worried about it, simply call the casino and make arrangements to wire your money to them. It will be available when you arrive.

Good advice. All the casinos will find a way to accomodate "significant cash" players. The key though is what you consider significant may not be to them. They have expenses to consider.

I carry a bank card, i.e. ATM card, which for large sums
you of course need to go to the bank and not the ATM.

Thanks for the HELPFUL responses. I talked to my friend and I guess you won't get into too much trouble if you carry around a lot of cash, just a little bit of hassel. She suggested that I get a traveler's check but I may look into calling the casino.

Front pants pocket have always worked for me. Can carry 5 to 10 thousand real easy with few thousand in each pocket. I wear jeans with deep front pockets then put money in a few of those white envelopes the banks hand out. If I ever got robbed I could easily pull my keys out of my right front pocket, my money clip with few small bills in it out of my left front pocket, my billfold with little money in it out of my left back pocket and no one would ever see that I had the envelopes full of cash in my front pockets. I usually wear a shirt hanging out too.

What kind of trouble? Provided you didn't rob a bank to ge the money, you'll be fine. You're staying at the Atlantis!!!! Don't be adumbass and you will have no problems carrying cash. If we're talking five figures then get some travel checks too.

This seems beyond unecessary.
