I'm addicted to bowling

I have decided to pick up a new hobby this summer, and though i had always liked bowling, i usually never even break 100. I played yesterday 6 games and improved to 128 as my highest [img]/images/graemlins/blush.gif[/img] Any advice for a new bowler whose addicted to the game? Good books, your own technique, etc?

I was never taught to bowl properly with spin and all, but me and some friends had a team for my last two years of college and I was rolling 550 series pretty consistently by the end of it. This is the system I used:

Simplify the motion as much as possible. Keep your shoulders upright through the entire motion with your eyes on the target. Get a decent knee bend before using the legs to power through the motion. Don't break your wrist at any time. Follow through.

Get a good hook going - that's the best thing to throw in terms of accuracy and pin action.

And do it my varying your grip, lifting the ball, and keeping your arm motion the same. IOW, you can get a bigger hook by just having your index finger spread further from your middle finger.

And get your own ball....and stylin' shoes..
