Talked about briefly at PV forums, but is anyone else getting those HUGE numbers showing up on the tables?

just set the date back on your comp when you play, saves 50 bucks!

Would this screw up anything else though?

You only have to set the date back when you first open PV. As soon as its open then you can just change it back to the correct date. Also make sure you hit "apply" or "ok" each time as the date change does not go into effect until after you do this.

And for those of you who are going to yell at me stealing, I do plan on purchasing PV however I am going to wait until significant upgrades are made from the free version.

The dates in HH are pulled from the first line in the HH. Eventually Amir will just look at the first HH that is pulled in to make sure that you arent setting the date back on your comp. I wouldnt be suprised if he had already done it.

Yes, it's things like this that make me unwilling to purchase it currently. Yes the software is well worth it when it does what it's supposed to, but it's still fairly error prone.

I agree that Amir should eventually take it commercial; I would do the same. I think he did so too early, before working out all the kinks. Pokertracker OTOH, works almost flawlessly and is highly developed. Pat clearly has done his best to make sure that continues. When a free product changes to a commercial one, my expectations go way up.

Yes, Amir has made some good improvements so far, but there are still some to go. Hopefully, making them will be an incentive to attract others like me to buy.

Until then, I will have to suffer with GT+.

i'm really torn. on the one hand, i feel that anyone trying to sell a program as riddled with bugs as PV for 50 bucks is a total jackass. on the other hand, it's probably a +EV investment...

if it's worth $50, what does it matter if it has bugs?

and by "trying to sell" I think you mean "is selling a lot," and if by jackass you mean genius, then I agree

This is the kind of attitude that will get the bugs fixed, and its not close.

it's good enough for me. I don't even know what bugs people are referring to. I think programmers are basically jealous because they feel they can do a better job but they missed the boat.

Yeah, this is basically what I was trying to say. While PV is +EV at $50. GT is essentially higher EV with greater inconvenience. I'm suggesting not paying $50 for a product that is somewhat buggy and only works with Party skins.

Also, I'm not a jealous programmer that missed the boat, or a programmer at all.
