Q10o on the BB
First orbit on this table. Blinds 400/800. Folded to the SB(t4300) he minraises 1600. I have Q10o and my stack is t19000. What is the standard play???

Re: Q10o on the BB
Looks like he's got top cards and really wants to get called/raised. Otherwise a shortstack would've raised all-in immediately, I guess?

Re: Q10o on the BB
Call - I agree w/ Rocco's read but with just the min raise he is asking you to call and you should take him up on it - and bust him when you catch the right flop. It is also possible that if he sees you as an observant opponent that this is a play - he realizes you will see his small stack and assume that he is going to push it to the end, therefore you may lay the hand down and he only risked the bare minimum to pick up some chips.

Fold or stop and go based on what range you think villain is playing against you here.

Re: Q10o on the BB
Well I took him allin preflop and he called with 22 and doubled up. I did it only because my friend on an other table had was in the exact same situation and pushed the minraise from SB with q10. That guy showed 33 but lost. Afterwards I had a chat with my friend and he said it was his standard play . I believe a Stop n Go would have been better or call/fold on a bad flop maybe.
Thanx for responding |
