There are a lot of interesting questions to me posted here, but this one is simple. Steve Smith doesn't dump it in his own net in 1985, costing the Oilers 5 straight Stanley cups.

OMG, I had totally blocked that out of my mind. I just remembered that they didn't win it that year, and moved on. Now I feel like vomiting all over again.

Seattle sports doesn't really have any 2 second issues that I can recall in HUGE games, although the UW basketball team took a hit in the NCAAs a few years ago (Goddamn Richard Hamilton!). I guess the closest I can think of is Shawn Kemp bricking 2 free throws on Cinco de Mayo 1994 that would have won the series against the Nuggets. Instead, the Nuggets won the game and later the series.

Wow lots of sad Chicago moments on here, I was going that route too:

-Bartman
-Alex Gonzalez
-Leon Durham in 84
-Black Cat in 69

Kirk Gibson's two out, 3-2 two run homer to win game one of the 88 series.

Easy one. I want the 2 seconds that the Cougars should have had on the clock against Michigan in the 98 Rose Bowl, after Leaf spiked it to stop the clock. They might not have even scored, but at least they would have had the final play that they should have.

Second place, as a son of a Syracuse grad and Orangemen fan by default, would be the Keith Smart jumper, previously mentioned.

Gary Anderson's FG in the '99 NFC Championship Game is good.

Todd Zeile's fly off the wall in Game 1 of the '00 Series bounces a little higher off the wall, or Timo Perez's brain fart ends two seconds earlier.
