Default Stealing against the big stack?

In the lower level SnG's, is it considered a poor play to attempt a blind steal with the big stack to your direct left? He obviously has the chips to call and the ability to end your tourney. I would think I should be more cautious, no?

Yeah, more cautious. But in a low-limit SNG, people don't adjust to their stack size as much as they do in a high-limit SNG, so you're going to adjust left.

Don't overestimate this effect. Ace-high is still an autopush from teh SB, 90% of the time.

That I knew(re: ace), I meant a weaker stealing hand. Thanks

Try it and see if it works. I would not do so if with a dangerous stack level or if you're pretty sure you'll need to play a flop.

It depends. Often times a big stack will try to cruise into the money and tighten up.

Exactly. They donk it on during levels 1-3, gain a big stack and realize they might make some money and become supertight.

Of course there are donks that just can't fold any ace no matter how big the raise is.
