Default Hand Selection Question: Small Blind in $3/$6

In $2/$4, as long as there are at least one or two limpers, I'll usually call any two suited cards from the small blind. (Am I wrong here?)

However, in $3/$6, things are much different:

(1) You must call 2/3rd's of a small bet instead of half of one.

(2) The skill and agression of the opponents are greater, so being out of position (post-flop) with a crappy hand sucks all the more.

One must tighten up from the small blind in $3/$6.

What do you guys generally play from the small blind, with:

(i) 1 or 2 limpers?
(ii) 3 or 4 limpers?
(iii) 5 or more limpers?

Thanks guys.

ask yourself, "if I was on the button would I call?" that's roughly what your answer is

Makes sense. Thanks.

Are we saying, then, that the $1 already invested in the pot roughly offsets the fact that we are out of position for the rest of the hand, and vice versa?

OR, should we tighten up, even from from the small blind than the button, knowing that we lose position for the rest of the hand.

OR, does the $1 already invested allow for us to loosen up a bit more than the button?

Just some things I've been pondering ...

Does it make sense to think about it like this?

Your pot equity increases by 3/2 because you're only callng 2/3 of the bet.

Yes, I believe position matters.
