Default Rivered flush, what should I do?

I have very little experience of limit HE, let alone limit HU, so please be gentle...

You hold AJo out of position, you raise, BB (no real read) calls.

Flop comes down A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] T [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 2 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

You bet, he calls

Turn comes J [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

Bet, call

River is 7 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

I'm presuming this is a easy bet, call raise. Am I wrong?

The reason I'm asking this is because I was asked this at an interview and they swore blind that that it was a check call... Thanks

Why is it wrong to want to check it down here? Wouldn't you hate having to call two bets? Is it more profitable to always bet here?

What the heck firm told you that? This wasn't a trading interview by any chance, was it? Does the company name start with an "S"?

Anyway, major definite value bet and call of a raise.

Because hero has top two pair which is a very strong hand and the opponent has given no indication that he has a flush. His opponent will call with many worse hands, and check behind with many hands that he'd call a bet with.

Not really, the opponent might raise a worse two pair here or maybe try a bluff raise.

Yes, against pretty much every opponent.

They'll call with so many worse hands. You're hand is good here way more often then not.

"Swore blind" is a British (I think) expression meaning fiercely defend their view/statement.
