I looked at my line.. and it's a little weak. I still slow down earlier than the OP did. If I lead the turn I probably don't 3-bet. Given how you played it, I definitely agree with Baron here.

i would bet the EV of calling down after the turn raise is similar to the EV of 3betting and calling down if capped. - part of the thing is putting in more bets on the turn is less damaging because you have outs to improve.

also, how often you are ahead here depends on your opponent almost entirely. im sure lots of opponents play AQ, TT, QQ etc more aggressively than others.
