Default Counterfeited 2 pair on the river, what to do?

Only my 5th hand at the table, but SB seems semi-loose preflop, aggressive postflop. Button looks like a loose-passive donk.

Party Poker 0.5/1 Hold'em (6 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is BB with 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].
2 folds, CO calls, Button calls, SB completes, Hero checks.

Flop: (4 SB) J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (4 players)
SB checks, Hero bets, CO folds, Button calls, SB calls.

No preflop raises, I think I should bet here. Can't count on someone else to bet otherwise I would try and CR.

Turn: (3.50 BB) 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (3 players)
SB checks, Hero bets, Button calls, SB raises, Hero calls, Button folds.

I don't want to 3-bet here cause if its capped I'm in big trouble. I figure I'll just call this and the river.

River: (8.50 BB) 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players)
SB bets, Hero ???

Well crap. Now there's a higher pair on the table and if SB has a J I don't think my 5 kicker will play. Would you call this here?

It's definitely close. Are you good 11% of the time? If you're only good 5% of the time, is learning what SB has worth the current -EV?

I'm posting this after having recently folded the best hand on the river in a fairly big pot when I figured there was no way I was good with 4 players still to act behind me and a decent chance of a raise. Consequently, I'm calling that. The anguish of having made Ed Miller cry makes it worth the call trying to atone.

Against an unknown, I tend to call these and take a note, even if I'm pretty damn sure I'm dead. I think its worth it in the long run.

I'm going through a weak phase lately though, trying to bust out of it.

Given your read, I'd call and not feel bad if I lost. I'd feel a lot more comfortable if he hadn't raised the turn, because now it really looks like he has at least trip 6's, but I don't think I'd find a fold against the player you describe.

SB could have 77 and play it like that. No?

I don't mind your turn line. I'd like to see justifications for a 3-bet here. 6 of hearts is a nasty card to fall on the river. I'd call this river and hope SB turns over 45 or a semibluffed straight draw-pair combo but I'd say you are beat the majority of the time here.

I'm 3 betting the turn. SB could well be raising with a lower two pair, a flush draw or a straight draw. I think you're good the majority of the time and the possibility of Button calling helps make this is a fairly easy 3 bet in my opinion.

Call the river, it looks bad but I think you're good here more than 1 in 9.

Yeah, I was thinking about 3-betting the turn as well, but I didn't really want it to be capped, so I decided to get it to a SD as cheaply as I could.

The river kinda caught me off guard, threw my game plan in the toilet.
