If you're going to call, you might as well raise, even if only to reopen action and potentially have him misclick one in 114 times. You lose 50 cents in value the majority of the time, get value on the very rare occasion, and once in a blue moon you're getting misclick value (tm) or having him make a 'brilliant laydown' with an overpair but no club. Again, rare - but it doesnt even need to work 1 in 114 times (marginally less) when you consider that you occasionally get value from worse hands plus misclicks.

You're getting paid significantly less than 114 to 1 on your call, however. Unless he's some erratic retard (and you have reason to believe he is), just fold the river and rebuy. Betting that river isn't tricky with a high card, it's stupid. What does he call the turn and bet the river with that doesnt have you beat? Pulling this move with a high card against a guy who's nearly all in (where people generally call more liberally in dire situations) is just stupid. So yeah, if you think he's stupid and erratic, go ahead and raise for 1/12th of a big bet (better than calling for reasons mentioned earlier).

If you are Hero, then there is something seriously wrong with this hand... do you see what that is?

This river call actually looks very thin to me. I think it's -EV.

You get 8.5:1 to call and snap off a bluff, but a bluff from what? AK/AQ without a club should certainly be giving up on the turn here. Any other 3-betting hand is a PP that beats you.

If he wanted you out of the pot, seems like a sane player would have fired again on the turn.

You are looking at the slim chance he is Clarkmeistering you.

If you are calling you are raising with your last $0.50 for sure. Some people just hate to show cards if they think they are beat, so it's not so much whether or not he realizes he has odds, it's that the odds you are getting on that 1/12BB are quite reasonable.

I think a MUCH better question would be: Why am I starting this hand with < 5BBs?

I believe you are answering Krimson's "what's wrong with this picture?" question.

Yes he was. I guess I should take a less Sklansky'esque approach to posting
