someday, I hope to be able to play poker this well; unfortunately, I have a severe testosterone shortage.

I assume that previously seat 2 had been taking some shots at the pot. He certainly stayed with his bluff for a long time. Your check raise on 6th was a thing of beauty.

Now, if he really had a hidden big pair, it would have to be classified as chip spewing... there is a thin line between the sublime and the rediculous

I'd fold 5th. You've got a weak pair and just a backdoor flush draw.

With a Four gone, I think you should probably fold on fifth street. I'm not crazy about the check-raise on sixth. It's relatively uncommon for people to fold on sixth street, and I don't think that you're going to get him to fold often enough for this to qualify as a semi-bluff. About your only chance is to set up a bluff on the river, but by that point, the pot is big enough that he should pay you off with about anything. I mean, what are you representing here? Maybe you can convince him that you've made trip Sevens, but even if that's what he thinks you have, he's still probably going to look you up.

But hey, it worked. What do I know?

Just realized that I'm an idiot and this hand wasn't really worth posting without the information I'm about to provide. See, I'd noticed that this guy folded too much on the river. That's why I made the play I did. I was planning on check-folding if I made two pair, betting for value if I made trips or better, and bluffing if I retained only the pair after raising sixth.

Reasons I called on fifth: Zero dead clubs, zero dead kings, three dead jacks, he folds the river too much. You're right about sixth street. Against most opponents I would take a different line but this guy was weak/tight.
