What is wrong with Party?!?!?!?!

I log on to my email to see this after uninstalling poker-edge. The only poker website I haev been to in the last 3 days has been 2p2. Heck, I haven't even opened PT. What is this:
Dear XXXXXX,

This message is to inform you that our system has detected another
instance of a program that gives unfair advantage over other players
playing at PartyPoker.com, being used in your account. As mentioned in our
earlier mail to you, PartyPoker.com strictly prohibits usage of such
programs.

With the use of such programs/applications you have violated our Terms
and Conditions.

As per our Terms and Conditions, and as mentioned to you in our
previous mail, we have proceeded to close your poker account. Furthermore, any
remaining funds in the account are deemed forfeited. We request that
you do not open another account in future as it will result in immediate
account closure and funds forfeiture.

How can they do this without telling me what I have done wrong, when I have done nothing wrong to begin with???

What's wrong with Party?!?! What's wrong with you? Don't install cheating software and you have no problems. You're never going to be able to convince Party that you did no wrong. It's not worth their time to bother listening to explanations from the cheaters, and that's what they perceive you to be.

Did you delete all possibe poker edge cookies as well? There were some threads a couple of months ago about cookies from just visiting the poker edge web site setting off alarms at Party.

Don't install cheating softare??? I downlaoded it for stars and found out it was illegal after the DL, so i uninstalled right away.

You need to delete your cookies and history and temp internet files, then it wouldnt hurt to run a "find files or folders" and search for anything with "edge" in it.

This type of thing scares the [censored] outta me. The software doesn't give that big of an edge anyways, does it? I've visited their site, I'm sure. So downloading any trial of any type of software even if it's just out of curiosity is out of the question because if it is deemed illegal and Party finds even a trace of it, they will seize funds?

I can understand an ip ban maybe, but give the op his money.

The only part of Party's Policy here I disagree with is that the seized funds of a cheater should be redistributed, per diem, to the people he has been playing with since the software was detected. I know this will never happen, but would be nice.

The scary thing is you have almost no legal recourse against them.

Most big sites don't just randmoly steal player's money, as it would be really bad PR and cost them $ int he long run.

However if for whatever reason they decided to keep your money, good luck getting it back.

The US probably has no jurisdiction, and the TOS of most poker sites give them absolute power over everything.

Obviously I don't give a darn what happens to cheaters, but if you want to believe the OP, he never used PE at Party, thus he did not violate their TOS and thus they have no right to terminate his account and seize his funds.

The only thing I can think of is when I visited their website, I saw a cool little search fature so I typed in my name to check out my stats, but that is absolutely it. I knew the software was illegal, and this is exactly why I did not use it with Party, I was afraid something like this would happen. I ahve called them twice and they will not reopen. I just don't get it.
