70 chips left - fold and hope to get 2nd?
HI all
3 left, just had my K9 busted by K5 (fullhouse) with K5x on the flop (5 on turn)(I raised on the button and followed thru to his bet from the SB ). So I have 220 chips left and am now on the SB BB has 13K or so, the button has 1400 Blinds are 150/300 Button calls leaving himself 1100 - I have Q7 offsuit - is it worth me folding for my final 70 and hope the BB busts out the button for me to take 2nd? thoughts? cheers Damian |

Re: 70 chips left - fold and hope to get 2nd?
I think this is a call and hope to get lucky situation. 2/3 of your stack is in already, your left with < 1 bb if you fold, and in this situation your opponents are usually smart enough to keep the pots tiny until it comes back around to you and the blinds bust you.

If you read button as a dumb stubborn clown who won't let go of his good hand then yes, lay down.
Ordinarily, 90% of the time, I'd push and cross my fingers... |

Re: 70 chips left - fold and hope to get 2nd?
well interestingly the BB pushed and the button thought about it for about 10 secs before finally calling
BB A3 suited; Button AA needless to say I was out - however if the button had folded I would have won as a 7 hit the flop! anyhoo, thnx for the advice cheers Damian |
