Default My FFB transactions so far

1) Drop D. Jolley (TE - NYJ), add R. Gardner (WR - Car)

2) Drop L. Tynes (K - KC), add J.Carney (K - NO)

3) Drop M.Robinson (WR- Min), add K. Curtis (WR - StL)

Have I made my team noticeably better? The only change to my starters was at kicker (which I think was a fairly obvious move given that Tynes had one bad game, where his coach supported him, then another where his coach said "this is a concern").

The latter two are great moves. Tynes you already discussed (and Carney is a good PK). Robinson may lose his job while Curtis could have a big year.

The other one really depends on a lot of factors, most notably who your TE is. Jolley is a good TE sleeper because Heimerdinger really likes TEs, Pennington has questionable arm strength, and LaColes isn't tall. (McCareins is, though.) There is a very good chance that Jolley will put up a 50-600-6 season, but he could be +/- 20-250-2. One extreme is really good, the other really bad (obviously).

However, Gardner is the same type of player. He's also the 3rd option on his team, and is also blessed with good height, especially as compared to his fellow pass catchers. He may become a big red zone target.

The problem is that I don't see you starting Gardner ever, but Jolley could become an every day player.

I'd not have made the deal anyway, but in that case, it's not like you gave up anything. There's no way you'd start Jolley over Crumpler, and they share the same bye week, so Jolley was nothing more than injury insurance.
