An angle shooter is a player who uses a play or tatic outside of the rules and or ethics of the game. example


Ethical angle shoot: someone that declares a hand incorrectly against an inexperience player who mucks before the hand is shown. This is legal, but unethical.

Rule bending angle shoot:

A player utlizes a string raise to determine the right amount of chips to bet to get another player to call or fold.

In most places he loses the pot if the floor determines that his intentional over-calling of his hand causes another player to muck their hand.
