Either one is debatable, although I would much more likely push the second one than the first one.

The first one I don't think is quite a push any two, but I think ten high is too good to fold. You need the chips.

Second hand is close, and table dependant, but I tend to push.

My default is to push them both, but a wacky opponent in the BB could change either decision. I think I may push a little too much though.

This made me laugh for some reason. If you get called, I promise it beats ten-high. There's little difference between pushing T6o and any two here.

Thanks guys, I suspect my weak performance in the later stages is due to weak play. In this game I ended up busting out like this:

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t300 (4 handed) converter

UTG (t2900)
Button (t1760)
SB (t2820)
Hero (t520)

Preflop: Hero is BB with A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].
2 folds, SB completes, hero is all-in[220], SB calls[220]

Flop: (t1040) 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)

Turn: (t1040) T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)

River: (t1040 ) 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] [colo"#0000FF"](2 players)

Final Pot: t1040

I think the problem is that while I have a great hand here, I might not get a hand like this everytime I'm in this position. And even if I win, I still will only have 1040 with blinds at 300. Whereas if I had pushed and picked up the blinds earlier, I would be a better position if I was dealt AKs later. Is that the correct thinking in pushing the earlier hands? (In addition to getting good odds with the size of the blinds.)

You can't let your stack get down to a meaningless amount is what you should be thinking. You're going to need to double up at some point to get back in contention. If you wait for that great hand to show up you may have diddly poo for chips to double up. Even if you double up with your 520 chips you are still sitting at around 1000 chips. Still in pretty bad shape. If you make your all ins earlier when your stack can do some damage you can pick up the blinds and increase your survival time where hopefully you do pick up that great hand. If not, or if someone calls you you may not be as big an underdog as you might expect and double up anyway. For sure if you wait, you are probably going to not get that premium hand and you will go out anyway.

These are both pellucidly clear pushes.

I disagree. You have MUCH more fold equity in the first one than the second, and you probably have a better chance of having live cards as well.

This depends on table texture of course.
But given that I have no reads here I would proabably fold the first one and push the second one. The first hand is very close to a push though and I definitely push if I found BB to be even moderately tight.
