I tried to get the convertor to work, any tips there?

Four days = ITM 20% ROI -67%

I'm done for 10 days after this.

Come on, hand 1 is standard car crash poker, you both did the right thing. (Actually no. He should have re-pushed. But I digress) Hand 2 you may as well stop-and-go, he ain't folding to the push. (Though when you get to that flop, you might as well check-raise all in. Result will be the same though) Hand 3 again I'm not sure he played it all that badly. Just happens sometimes. Suck it up. It'll make you a better player in the long run.

I've been on a real cold spell recently at the 10+1 also, some of it was horrible play on my part, but it gets frustrating when you lose almost every coin flip situation and even get busted as a 66% favorite half the time. I haven't been playing poker for too long so I don't know how much of it is variance and how much is quality of play, but I've gone 11 SNG's straight without placing in the money followed by 6 SNG's straight of placing 1st(That was before the cold spell heh). I'm just going over these to see if there were things I did right or wrong.

Though nobody is going to give you sympathy for your bad beats, maybe you can step down a level or to what your comfortable with so that these normal beats don't affect your decisions so much. I noticed that you posted hands from both 33s and 11s. Why not just play 11s for a while until you regain your confidence?

I've been rebuilding a spent bankroll, and had to drop back to the 11s when I went through a horrible spell at the 22s, and now I'm ready to go back up to the 33s or 55s, where I was before I ever spent my bankroll on fast times and memories that I will look back on and laugh. No shame in dropping down and finding holes in your game, and most importantly rebuilding your confidence.

Default hand 2 discussion

[ QUOTE ]
Hand 2 you may as well stop-and-go, he ain't folding to the push.

[/ QUOTE ]

I like the stop-&-go when I think I have the best hand but I may be dominated. I feel Villain will fold the flop more than half the time.

But in this situation, I advocate pushing. You say that Villain won't fold this anyway. I'm not sure that that's true, but if it is then Villian will see it to the river anyways on a raggity flop. Pushing gives a thinking player the opportunity to fold b4 the flop. And if I remember correctly Villian had to call 600 to win 1K. A loss puts Villian at t600 at level 6, 4 handed, but a win puts him ITM. I think this is a close call so why not give villian the opportunity to fold?

Actually, the more I think about this, the more I think that pushing or the stop & go are equally correct. Does anyone want to jump in?

Not to sound harsh, but you don't think that this stuff happens to all of us every day?

Here's something you might want to think about:

Maybe it's not just variance. By this I mean, yes, you did have some bad beats. But we all have bad beats and these are factored into our ROIs. What I'm trying to say is that you are focusing on the bad beats, but perhaps you're not getting yourself into position to ITM enough to be able to withstand a few bad beats.

Obviously I'm not talking about the short term. But there are some players who always focus on their bad beats, but maybe they are focusing on them because their poor play has left them with such a razor thin margin that they cannot withstand the normal run of beats that we all experience.

Am I making sense?
