You probably woulda taken this one anyway, but you didn't raise enough. Raise about pot size. There's 25 in the pot from the blinds, 15 from the limper, 30 from the minraiser, and 30 more from your call. That's 100, so you should raise 100 for a total of 130.

I don't agree really, I'd just call the 30, I don't like to re-raise AK as it's hardly ever worth it. On the flop the pot is then smaller and you can maybe get away from TPTK, though it would be hard.

Edit: Unless it is for all my stack, then I like to re-raise. But here that's ludicrous.

I would bring it up to about 90. I guess what you are really wondering is what raise you needed to make in order to scare away the ATo that beat you...this depends, because at the low levels many donks treat Ax as gold.

I also probably wouldn't have raised so much on the flop, maybe brought it up to 200.

I agree, but if you're going to raise, raise pot preflop.

Yeah. The only reason I can see for a raise like this is to "buy the blinds" which doesn't work often enough and is over-rated anyway, I think. Pot-sized is the way to go if you want to raise. The issue I have with that is it then commits about 15-20% of your stack and you'll be faced with a tough decision on a flop you miss - which is why I prefer just to call.

Def need a pot size bet your, calling isnt the to bad since your OOP. The sad part is at the 11's the AT would be comming no matter what.
