Is there actually a new reload out or is that just an old reload promo page on their site? I didn't see any info about dates on that page.

PokerStars rocks. I had moved my money out of Empire and decided earlier today to put it into Stars. Then a few hours later, WHAM! they offer the deposit bonus. I was a little peeved, but emailed Stars support and they hooked me up with the bonus for clearing.

Stars is SO much more responsive in their customer service than Party and skins, and their software is 2nd to none. I love Stars and I'm glad to be back there, even without rakeback.

Slight hjiack:

At $10/20 6max games, what does the Stars bonus scheme work out to as a rakeback percentage for comparison purposes?

If you assume every hand gets raked $3...

Rake paid per 6-max hand = $0.50
5 pts = $1 of bonus money, so $0.20/hand
So 40% rakeback.

Only problem is it doesn't last too long. You're only getting it for 2-3 hours if you 4-table 6-max.

OK, some quick math. A rakeback calculator (Google it if you're curious) uses a $0.09 per hand figure for a $10/20 6max player with 30% rakeback.

Stars requires 5 FPPs (hands raked at $1 or more) per cleared bonus dollar, or $0.20 per hand raked at $1 or more. For $10-20 6max tables with 4, 5, or 6 players, any hand that sees a flop (75%+?) will hit a $1 rake.

So is it me being dumb (likely) or does a Stars bonus work out to a pretty good rakeback scheme? Where did I screw up?

deposited into stars for the first time to have something to do while the PP fiasco clears up. At 6 tables, though, I'll clear the bonus by tomorrow morning. I wish the bonus was bigger and gave me more time to kill.

This is the first move in the warfare that will occur over the next few weeks...

I read on another post that the Cryptos aren't intending to offer anything to the players as a way of enticing new customers...

UB had a bonus offer last week....

It'll be intersting what other sites offer over the next 2 weeks whilst there seems to be some upoar about where people are going to play but....

Pokerstars have made the first move to claiming the No.1 Poker Room throne...
